It’s been a long one year since the last Grammys—and while much has changed in the world since Lizzo hit the red carpet last, one thing hasn’t: the secret to her smooth and flawless complexion.
Lizzo’s makeup artist, Alexx Mayo, used the exfoliating DERMAFLASH ($199) to prep the star’s skin ahead of tonight’s award show and before applying makeup. The tool’s vibrating edge painlessly removes peach fuzz and dead, dull skin cells to unleash a radiant glow.
The Truth Hurts singer isn’t the only A-lister who swears by the skin-smoothing power of the tool. Both Doja Cat and HAIM were prepped with the DERMAFLASH by their makeup artists Ernesto Casillas and Edwin Sandoval, respectively, for tonight’s show.

To prep the singer’s skin for the big stage, celebrity makeup artist Alexx Mayo relied on the exfoliating power of the DERMAFLASH Luxe ($199) dermaplaning tool. “[It] is the best way to exfoliate away dull, dead skin and unwanted peach fuzz,” said Mayo. “It really does result in instantly smooth skin, creating a perfect canvas for makeup, taking Lizzo’s look to the next level.”
