Lavoy and Labrecque note that while the hush cut is wispier and more layered than other popular hairstyles, it is no exception. The hush cut acts as a new title for the known longer-in-the-back, long, layered shag.
Because the hush cut is so similar to the long shag of the ’70s, Lavoy urges clients to bring photos to their appointments to avoid confusion. “If you are going for a new trendy haircut, bring a reference photo to your stylist because they might know that haircut as another name.”
Is the Hush Cut Good for Fine Hair?
