We’re always scanning the Video Music Awards carpet for Paris Hilton to see what head-turning look she sports next. At the 2024 VMAs, she went with an all-silver look, one we might liken to sexy tinfoil. From her eyeshadow details to her nails, it was silver monochrome all the way, but our favorite part of the look was her hair.

Hilton’s iconic long blonde strands were styled with the perfect wet look. It’s the hair we all think we have in the rain when we’re actually a frizzy mess. Hilton’s hair looks as though she just stepped off the set of The Notebook’s rain scene, daintily drizzled to perfection. The master behind this look is none other than celebrity hairstylist Eduardo Ponce.

Ponce began by prepping Hilton’s hair with amika the wizard detangling primer ($31) and quick blow dry. He then added texture to the hair with the high tide deep waver beach waver ($120), which is perfect for creating those subtle beachy waves.

Then Ponce began on the waterworks. “To create the wet look, I used a cocktail of water sign hydrating oil ($32) and supernova moisture and shine hair cream ($28) to ensure it lasted with consistency,” says Ponce. Finally, to set the hair, he used headstrong intense hold hairspray ($26) and top gloss shine spray ($29), “and then she was red carpet ready!”
