Sometimes, you have to take a page from big sister’s book! And we’re pretty sure Noah Cyrus could be a body double for big sister Miley Cyrus after her blonde transformation. Departing from her usual goth-girl vibe, singer and actress Noah Cyrus swapped her Black hair this week for a Marilyn-inspired blonde that has us seeing double.
Debuting her new look at New York City’s So & So’s Piano Bar, the 24-year-old performed her 2019 hit “July” at the famed spot. Her hair instantly took us back to this year’s Grammy Awards, where big sister Miley stole our hearts with her sky-high hair and won her first Grammy.
Miley’s Grammy hair stunned with its touchably soft finish, creating a super-high ‘70s-inspired ‘do with tons of movement and life. Celebrity hairstylist Bob Recine accomplished this delicate balance by applying NEXXUS XXL Volume Hairspray ($12) to each section as he dried Miley’s hair, adding velcro rollers for extra volume.
“And to finish my look,” he explains, “I apply a few drops of NEXXUS Repair and Nourish Hair Oil ($12) on my fingertips that is infused with the beautiful Rose of Jericho Oil making it lightweight with excellent movement for my voluminous style, giving it a jewel-like shine and light reflective qualities that make hair soft and nourishingly healthy.”
By comparison, Noah Cyrus’ tamed style leans more towards the sculpted Monroe curls that dominated awards season this year. Adding short bangs and tons of bouncy curly volume screams Old Hollywood. But we’d also wager some Dolly Parton inspiration is in the mix, too!
It’s anybody’s guess if Noah’s bouncy curls and cool-toned blonde were meant to be a callback to Miley’s Grammy look. But one thing is absolutely clear: the Cyrus genes are certainly strong.
