We spoke to brand founder Tina Chen Craig and her cosmetic chemist and VP of product development, Caroline Sands, to learn all about this new innovation.
“I think the neck is an area that everyone complains about but no one has been able to find something that really helps them,” says Craig. “I didn’t want to become the person who just wears turtlenecks all the time, so our neck cream has been on my mind for so long. We’ve been working on it for more than four years, and the results are just so phenomenal. We’ve really pushed the boundaries of science and formulation.”
The Benefits of This Neck Cream
The Sculpt Neck + Décolleté Concentrate isn’t your grandmother’s neck cream. It’s a futuristic formula engineered to visibly tighten, defend and sculpt the skin on the neck, jawline and décolleté. U Beauty took a systematic approach and studied how the skin drapes over the anatomy of the neck. “The neck skin is very thin and undergoes a tremendous amount of mechanical stress,” says Sands. “Think about how much your neck moves every day, whether it’s just normal movements or looking down at your phone. When the skin on our neck loses strength, so does the skin on our face.”
What sets this concentrate apart is its three-level approach to skin improvement. “It’s really unique because it’s three actions in one,” Craig tells us. “On the surface of the skin, you can see immediate tightening and smoothing of fine lines. Mid-level, it delivers 4-D hyaluronic acid molecules, so it deeply hydrates for a nice blurring effect. And on a deeper level, our SIREN Capsule technology permeates the epidermis to transport molecules where they need to go for stronger skin.” Sands adds that the SIREN Capsules are biomimetic and interact in certain areas where the skin is frail. “They go where we have a higher accumulation of damaging free radicals,” she explains. “The Capsules work to resynthesize and regenerate proteins like collagen and elastin for stronger, firmer, lifted-looking skin.” You can expect an instant boost in hydration, Craig says, with noticeable improvement in wrinkle depth in as few as five days.
Craig tells us that when she was traveling in Aspen, her skin became so dry that her sunscreen got stuck in the horizontal lines on her neck. Then, after four days of using the samples of her neck cream she had stashed in her bag, the lines were visibly blurred.
