The key to any good makeup look is good skin care. This is especially essential when the look really lets the skin shine through. Megan Fox went for an elegant, Hollywood glam look for tonight’s Grammy Awards and her face was as snatched as ever. We’ve finally been let in on one of her skin care secrets, and we’re happy to share it.
Celebrity makeup artist Jenna Kristina says she began Megan’s Grammys look by massaging IMAGE Skincare Ageless Pure Hyaluronic Filler ($85) onto her face. This was to ensure they started with a hydrated base. Then she applied a liberal layer of The Max Contour Gel Creme ($122) all over Megan’s face and neck “to make sure that her face was tight, contoured, and ready for makeup application.”
The gel creme features anti-gravity peptides and lipo-filler to help counteract the appearance of sagging skin. It also moisturizes, plumps and firms skin while helping redefine the appearance of facial contours.
While the skin care absorbed and worked its magic, Megan wore Restoring Eye Masks ($55). To condition her lips and keep them comfortably hydrated throughout the night, she used Ormedic Balancing Lip Enhancement Complex ($26)—a personal favorite.
The glam was meant to focus on gorgeous skin complimented by “wispy lashes elongated at the end,” says Jenna. She applied KISS MLBB (My Lash But Better) in Bare Affair ($12 for four pairs). For the glue Jenna used KISS Lash Couture Super Strong Lash Adhesive in Clear ($6).
While her makeup look was somewhat simple, her nails were extremely ornate, featuring 14kt white gold and 150 diamonds. Founder and creative director of Marrow Fine Jewelry, Jillian Sassone and celebrity nail artist and founder of Nails of LA, Brittney Boyce collaborated to design the set.
