American Music Award presenter Sabrina Carpenter stunned on the red carpet glimmering in rhinestones in an Oscar de la Renta two-piece outfit. Her hair and makeup was decidedly ‘90s which has been coming back via curtain bangs, which we love, and skinny brows, which we’re not so sure how we feel about. Carpenter’s makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez shares the makeup used to create this look, including the perfect brown lip shade.
Almost all of the makeup behind Carpenter’s AMAs look is Armani. Luminous Silk Concealer ($38), Foundation ($69) and Glow Setting Powder ($64) were used to create the perfect dynamic complexion look. Gonzalez applied Smooth Silk Eye Pencil ($30) to the lash line. Then she “lightly smudged and smoked the liner” with the sponge end of the pencil. To top that off, she used Eyes To Kill Mascara Waterproof ($29).
And for the most captivating part of Carpenter’s makeup, Gonzalez used Lip Power in Magnet ($39) to line the outer part of the lip and Lip Power in Romanza on the inner part of the lip. While the lips may look lined with a precise liner, Gonzalez actually employed the unique teardrop shape of the lipstick to line the lips.
All of this makeup means nothing if you don’t have a good canvas. Gonzalez prepped Carpenter’s skin with dermatologist-developed skin care. First, she prepped the skin with Goldfaden MD’s Vital Boost Moisturizer ($68). This step helps keep the skin hydrated and glowing all night long. To reduce the appearance of under-eye lines, puffiness and darkness, Gonzalez employed Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes ($55). This under-eye product is especially perfect for red carpet moments. The light formula absorbs quickly, so it won’t pill beneath makeup. For an extra hit of hydration, Gonzalez used Goldfaden MD Mist RX Daily Nutrient Facial Mist ($45). The formula features all the things your skin loves, like antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, probiotics and vitamin C.
