“The secret is out,” Rihanna captioned her Instagram post on Tuesday, June 18. The big reveal? She’s the new face of Dior’s famed J’Adore fragrance line, a beauty industry favorite since its 1999 launch. “J’adore @dior,” the 36-year-old singer and Fenty Beauty founder added, sharing a photo of herself taken at the luxury fashion label’s Spring 2024 Couture show.
Rihanna has a longstanding history with the brand, and this new contract breathes new life into their relationship. She was named the first Black ambassador for the French fashion house in 2015 and debuted a collection of sunglasses for the label in 2016. She’s also no stranger to sitting front row at Dior’s shows, most recently at the Spring 2024 Couture show in Paris.
“Being the new face of J’adore is both an honor and a mission,” the hitmaker said in an interview with Business of Fashion. “I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.” She elaborated on the iconic fragrance’s impact in the exclusive reveal to WWD: “The scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women.”
According to WWD, Rihanna’s first official J’Adore campaign will debut on September 1. The excitement is palpabale, for the brand included. “We are incredibly proud to welcome Rihanna into the Dior family,” Véronique Courtois, CEO of Parfums Christian Dior, said in a statement. “Her golden dream promises to be unique, reflecting a fragrance that is present for women, and retains its radiance. The unusual talent, audacity, and captivating beauty of this absolute star are the ideal embodiment of dazzling, powerful Dior femininity that transcends generations. Christian Dior would most definitely have adored her.”
Rihanna is taking the reigns from the former face of J’Adore, Charlize Theron. The actress’s relationship with the label has evolved, and she’s now a skincare and jewelry ambassador for the luxury label.

There’s no denying that Rihanna’s been busy lately. Earlier this month, the beauty entrepreneur announced the imminent launch of Fenty Hair, seven years after Fenty Beauty’s wildly successful debut.
“A new family is moving in! @fentyhair is pullin up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for,” Rihanna wrote in her June 4 announcement post. “You know how much switching my hair up matters to me. I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural- so I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need! It’s time to play and get stronger by the style.”
Available now, the line includes nine hair care and styling products. You can shop the brand’s Deep Moisture Repair value kit below.
