In a new interview on REVOLT’s The Jason Lee Show, rapper Cardi B opened up about her 2020 rhinoplasty surgery and why she blames her filler results for her decision to go through with the nose reshaping surgery.
“I always felt like I had a big nose,” Cardi shared with Lee. “Even before I was famous, I was like ‘Damn, I’ve got my daddy’s nose.’ I was always afraid to do my nose but I finally took that step.”
Cardi said at first in 2019 she underwent a nonsurgical nose job using filler and the end result made it look larger. “I kept seeing there’s a nonsurgical way to get your nose smaller and that’s doing fillers. So, I did fillers on my nose in 2019 and that s— messed my nose up.”
Lee then asked the star how filler injections could make your nose appear smaller if they are intended to add volume. “Listen, when you see things on Instagram it made sense, but fillers made my nose longer. It made the tip of my nose longer, like you will see it in 2019, my nose got longer, it got wider and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, what the f—?’ I f—ed up my nose. I had no choice but to actually do my nose, so in 2020 after WAP I got my nose done.”
After her filler injections, Cardi says she attempted to have them dissolved but could not get her original nose shape back which made her consider a rhinoplasty. “I was like oh my gosh, I’m freaking out what the f— did I do to myself. Like, oh my gosh just take these fillers out. No matter how much I tried to take the fillers out it just f—ed up my tip. So in 2020 after WAP I just got my nose done.”
The candid artist also shared that Kim Kardashian gave her plastic surgery advice and Lee recalled being there when the reality star provided Cardi with a list of possible plastic surgeons. “I called a couple of people that she gave me,” Cardi said, although noting she went with a different surgeon for her 2020 procedure.
