While she’s only 37 years old, Megan Fox has been under the scrutiny of the limelight for well over a decade. Ever since her breakout role in Transformers at just 21 years old, Fox has been a subject of much speculation in the world of plastic surgery. Throughout her career, Fox has dealt with excessive amounts of unwarranted comments about her appearance, and as more recent pictures have surfaced, viewers have been even more speculative about what the actress has had done.
Never one to shy away from a curiosity or criticism, Fox appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper this week to talk all things life, sex and, of course, plastic surgery. An advocate for not upholding unrealistic beauty standards, Fox candidly revealed every plastic surgery and cosmetic treatment she’s had done over the years, and the one’s she hasn’t.
Megan Fox’s Plastic Surgery Journey
While Fox was not hesitant to delve into the conversation about plastic surgery, Cooper’s question about how her relationship with sex has fluctuated based on her perception of her body is what sparked the deep dive, as the Transformers star explained that her relationship with sex really started to change when she started to take control of her body and her appearance. “When I was younger, it was really scandalous to get anything done—my boobs have been fake, by the way, since I was 21 or 22, I had them done between the first and second Transformers—but I had them done ‘conservatively,'” she explained, “Back then, everyone did the work, but you had to do work that was undetectable.”
After discussing more the inextricable connection between Hollywood and plastic surgery, Fox decided to bare all. “I’m just going to go through all the things that I’ve done, because I feel like there’s this stigma, and no matter what I say I’m not going to win, however I hope it sets some people free.”
Plastic Surgeries She Hasn’t Had
Starting with the procedures she’s long been accused of but hasn’t had, Fox explains “I’ve never had a facelift of any kind—no mid facelift no lateral browlift, although, I would like one. I’ve never done threads. I have researched them but I don’t think they’d work and I’m afraid they’ll interfere when I do need to have a facelift. But, I am tempted sometimes to get my eyebrows snatched up. I want that look sometimes and you can do it on a lunch break—it’s tempting, I’ve researched it but I’ve never done it—yet. I’ve never had buccal fat removal. I’ll never have any fat removed because I’m a very lean person who doesn’t have enough fat in my face so I will only ever put fat in I will never take any out, which leads me to the fact that I’ve never had any liposuction or body contouring or anything like that.”
Cooper then brought up the infamous BBL, to which Fox joked that, in the future, if she can use fat from someone else to get the surgery done, she’d absolutely do it, but because of the lengthy recovery time, she’d go big or go home, stating that she’d want to look like a “circus freak,” not just someone doing extra squats at the gym.
Every Plastic Surgery Fox Has Had
As for what she has had done, the list is not as extensive as many believe. “Like I said I had my boobs done when I was 21 or 22 and I had them redone after I was done breastfeeding my kids because I don’t know where they went but they went. Then I had them redone again recently because I didn’t have enough body fat and you could see the rippling of the implant so I had to get them switched out. I don’t like surgery, my body does not react well to general anesthesia so when I go to have a surgery its a very big deal and all my doctors have to meet with me before and tell me if they’ve seen any omens because I’m very afraid of dying under general anesthesia, so I don’t take surgery lightly and because of that I haven’t had a lot of them.”
“I had my nose done when I was in my early 20s. I’ve been accused of having 6, 7, 8 rhinoplasty surgeries which is impossible. I haven’t had a rhinoplasty since I was 23. It’s been well over a decade,” she adds. After mentioning her nose job, the actress realized she didn’t contour her nose before recording the podcast, which sparked a conversation about how she “can get [her nose] to be so tiny like an “elvin princess. I think that’s why people think I keep getting my nose done but it’s just the contour.”
Aside from her breast surgeries and nose job, Fox’s only other treatments consist of Botox, filler and lasers. “When it comes to lasers I’ve done everything you could imagine and I always will,” she says. While Megan’s plastic surgery tell-all was far more candid and real than most, she did admit that “There’s one thing I had done that I’m gatekeeping because it was really good and it’s not a very ‘known’ plastic surgery.”
