If there’s anyone who knows how to erase wrinkles around the eyes, it’s a dermatologist. We asked five to name the best wrinkle-busting eye creams we should have on our radar.

“I have three favorites among eye creams and I personally use all three because they each have unique actives that fight the aging process in the eye area. First, I am a big fan of Skinbetter’s InterFuse Treatment Cream Eye ($105). It contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, niacinamide, caffeine, and peptides, so it’s especially ideal for morning use as the first layer to protect, de-puff, hydrate, and regenerate healthier skin.

My other favorite is Alastin’s Restorative Eye Treatment ($85) because it reduces fine lines, firms, improves dark circles and depuffs as well. I use this cream twice a day as my second layer. Finally, my tried-and-true favorite for years has been SkinMedica’s TNS Eye Repair ($102) because it is one of the very few eye creams that harnesses the power of vitamin A. It also contains peptides, vitamin C and E, humectants, and the proprietary TNS growth factors to fight all signs of aging in the eye area. I use this one as part of my bedtime routine.”

Alastin Restorative Eye Treatment ($85), which features their patented trihex peptide to help get rid of old collagen and elastin and build new, is my favorite because it brightens skin and reduces the appearance of dark circles. It also features light-diffusing polymers so you look better even before the skin is better and makes for an elegant, easy-to-wear base.”

“My favorite is Cosmedix Eye Doctor High-Potency Eye Treatment. A little bit goes a long way at fighting off my dark circles and wrinkles! It has retinol but it is an ointment so it really hydrates as it is fighting my fine lines and wrinkles! My 48-year-old eyes highly recommend it.”

—Louisville, KY dermatologist Tami Buss Cassis, MD

“The Epicuren Eye Alive Serum ($48) is a good one for instantaneous change that lasts all day. This is my day eye cream, but my night eye cream is iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex ($105). It’s more of a serum and blends well with concealer around the eye for day wear. It’s really actually used by makeup artists on movie sets and photoshoots all the time, so it’s a great daytime pick.”

—Spokane, WA dermatologist Wm. Philip Werschler, MD

“My Hy-la Silk ($46) is formulated for the delicate area under the eyes. The serum delivers super hydration benefits which soothes and smooths the area around the eyes, restoring a natural appearance. My Ultra Firming Eye ($42) is a tightening cream with a peptide complex that firms the skin around the eyes. It diminishes puffiness, dark circles, and crows feet.”

—Miami dermatologist Dr. Deborah Longwill
