Coco Gauff just made history as the youngest American to win the US Open Championship since Serena Williams in 1999. This is surely just the beginning for the 19-year-old phenom, and we’re excited to see what’s next. As beauty editors, we love chatting with tennis pros about their skin care, so we couldn’t help but wonder what Gauff has on her shelves. In February, she shared a video of her nighttime routine to TikTok, and it’s a fun glimpse into the young star’s routine.
This is the “Nighttime skin-care routine of someone who has no idea what they’re doing but is trying her best and that someone is me,” says Gauff at the beginning of the TikTok. “At night, I usually double cleanse because I have oily skin…and I like double cleansing,” she says. Gauff begins with drugstore staple CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser ($17).
For the second cleanse, Gauff calls on Fenty Skin Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser with Barbados Cherry ($28). She mentions that she loves this cleanser but only uses it when double cleansing since it’s so gentle. “I feel like with my sweating, I need more,” she explains. Gauff says she tries to wash her face for between 45 and 60 seconds. “I feel like I’m already looking better with my face washed,” once the double cleansing is complete.
Gauff also reveals she uses the popular snail mucin product COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence ($25). “It’s a little bit weird putting snail stuff on my face,” she admits. “But it works, so gotta do what you gotta do.” Around her mouth, Gauff applies Topicals Faded Serum ($38) to address dark spots and discoloration. Her biggest recommendation from her skin-care routine is The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum ($15). “It works. Get it now,” she says.
