Tom Hanks Shuts Down ‘Wonder Drug’ Claims: ‘Do not be fooled.’
Last night, Hanks took to Instagram to share an important PSA with his followers, addressing the ads circulating social media using his likeness to promote an array of counterfeit “wonder drugs.” As Hanks wrote in his post, there are multiple ads across the internet “falsely using my name, likeness, and voice promoting miracle cures and wonder drugs.”
Hanks went on to affirm that he “has nothing to do with these posts or the products and treatments, or the spokespeople touting these cures. I have type 2 diabetes and I ONLY work with my board-certified doctor regarding my treatment.” Hanks’ post is a pertinent reminder to always consult with your doctor when it comes to any medication or treatment, wrapping up the post by saying “don’t be fooled, don’t be swindled.”
