When Mariska Hargitay speaks, the world listens. The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star was recently featured in Hamptons Magazine, sharing a day in her life. Lucky for us, the 60-year-old actress included some insight into her daily skin care routine—along with some other snackable beauty and wellness tidbits that help define her.
The article quizzed Hargitay—who owns property in the Hamptons—on her “daily script,” covering everything from what time she wakes up in the morning to her choice of cocktail when it’s time to wind down. (“Depends on how late I stayed up watching movies the night before,” she said, and “A Hugo!” respectively.
As for skin care? She told the outlet that she considers La Mer Eye Cream “essential,” along with “any serum that hydrates, whether it be SkinCeuticals or Victoria Beckham’s line.” (All great choices.) Check them out below.

Her favorite summer workout…
Hargitay’s exercise regimen isn’t exactly set in stone. It’s “whatever I read about at the end of the summer as the definitive summer workout that I then plan to do the following summer.”
Her “nemesis…”
Sleep is seemingly very important to Hargitay, or at least her sleep accessories are. She says it’s all about avoiding “any pillow that’s too soft and grossly warm instead of nice, cool, and firm.”
What she can never have enough of…
“Languid, meandering conversations with longtime friends.”
Her current obsession out East…
“Shou Sugi Ban House,” a luxury wellness resort and spa in the Hamptons.
Her best advice….
Her best advice isn’t exactly unique, but it’s solid: “Trust your gut.”
Her bedtime…
“Almost always later than I intend.” (Relatable!)
What’s on her nightstand…
“Sometimes a lot, sometimes only a few things, but always flowers.”
Her aesthetic…
“Depends on my mood, but generally joyful abundance.”
