Selena Gomez is having a busy week. Between hitting the circuit for her latest film, doing in-depth interviews and being named a billionaire, the mega-star is making it happen.
And in pure Gomez fashion, she is not without her belongs-in-the-MET manicures.
As created by celeb nail artist Tom Bachik, Gomez’s latest work of art is “an elegant shimmer that brings glamour to any look.” Worn for the Emilia Perez premiere, Bachik refers to the nail creation as the “Movie Star Mani.”
“We wanted to change up our nail game a bit, so we decided to start fresh,” Bachik shared on Instagram. “I removed Sel’s long coffin nails and using my fav @tweezerman tools, I prepped her natural nails to be a perfect foundation for her new set.”
For more of a glamorous movie-star vibe, Bachik then applied a medium-length nail. He then shaped them to a soft oval/almond to play off the silhouette of her gown. “For color, we wanted a deep, rich mysterious shade and I wanted something a little unique.”
The color of choice: ‘Purplexity’ from the Dynamic Duality collection by CND. The deep purple shade has a gold-pearl finish.
“I topped it all off with a @cndworld Shellac topcoat for a deep, high-gloss shine,” Bachik shares. “My secret weapon to any red carpet look is a cuticle cocktail. Today, I used @cndworld Solar oil and @lamer’s hand treatment to rehydrate the cuticles and skin.”
