Being the “perfect mom”(and looking effortlessly flawless while doing it) is something that all mothers strive for, but at the end of the day perfection doesn’t exist—take it from Jessica Biel.
While you may think that someone as iconic as Biel would have motherhood down to a science, her recent TikTok video served as an important reminder to moms everywhere: perfection isn’t a thing. While showcasing her simple yet effective everyday makeup routine, Biel began the video by saying “get ready with me while I tell you the secret to being a perfect mom,” before going silent for the rest of the video, playfully yet poignantly reminding viewers to give themselves grace and abandon the fruitless search for perfection.
While Biel may not actually have the secret to being a perfect mom, she sure does have a quick and easy makeup routine down to a science. Though she packed the six-step routine into a brief, 19 second collage of clips, we used our beauty binoculars to decode what the Candy star was using, and we’re pretty sure we nailed it.

The mom-of-two started the video by swiping on foundation with the Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick ($68), which fans in the comments were eager to know more about, and luckily the star did confirm via comment that the product was in fact the Westman Atelier staple. Moving on to concealer, it appears that she used the YSL Touche Éclat All-Over Brightening Concealer Pen ($40) to brighten up the high points of her face.
Next, she filled in and fluffed up her brows with what looks to be the Diorshow Brow Styler Eyebrow Pencil ($35). Next, she swiped the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick ($26)across her lips and cheeks and blended in with her fingers for a natural flush. (If I had to guess on the shade, I’d say Petal or Dou Dou).
After brushing some also unrecognizable nude shadow onto her lids, Biel flicked on some mascara and let her hair down, rounding out her speedy yet stunning morning makeup routine.
