Florence Welch’s voice is nothing short of beautiful and the Florence and the Machine lead singer has the looks to match. Welch looked elegant in a purple Gucci gown at the 2012 LACMA Art + Film Gala last weekend complete with a gold head piece. Makeup artist Lisa Aharon used both Laura Mercier and RéVive skin care to create her beautiful look, which perfectly complemented her Gucci ensemble. Want to replicate the look? Read on for Aharon’s steps.
First Aharon prepped the skin with RéVive Sensitif Oil Free Lotion SPF 15 ($195) and RéVive Eye Renewal Cream ($120).
Aharon then applied Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact SPF 20 in Nude ($45) all over Welch’s face. To ensure Welch’s face was flawless, she used Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage #3 ($30) under the eyes and to conceal any spots alongside Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in Tender Rose ($36). For the cheeks, she applied Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Wild Bouquet ($24) on the apples of the cheeks.
To create Welch’s stunning eyes, Aharon blended Laura Mercier Metallic Crème Eye Colour in Gold ($22) up to the crease. She then applied a combination of Laura Mercier Illuminating Eye Colour in Gilded Bronze ($24) and Laura Mercier Illuminating Eye Colour in Gilded Moonlight ($24) on top of the crème. She lined Welch’s eyes with Laura Mercier Caviar Eyeliner in Chestnut ($22) and applied Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara ($24) to her curled top lashes.
To finish the look, Aharon applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Sienna ($26) and filled in Welch’s brows with Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil in Blonde ($20).
