According to data platform Spate, the search for sun protection is having a moment, and one brand that’s at the top of the boom is the off-the-radar Tocobo. The vegan K-Beauty line tagline is “Follow Your Intuition,” and a quick look at Spate’s latest Top Rising Sun Care Trends Report shows it is following a very legit upward trend in search volume.
The impressive stats: Year over year, Tocobo has had +420.6 percent growth in the search category.
“The growth in searches for mineral and chemical sunscreens shows that consumers are evaluating each format whether for efficacy, safety, or white cast, for example,” says Brian Kolman, Technical Manager of the Cosmetic Ingredients Division of Symrise in North America. “Ultimately, the growth in both options highlights the overall interest in sunscreen for many reasons, which could include preventing skin damage but also for reducing the risk of skin cancer.”
Where Can You Buy Tocobo Sunscreen?
While the popular Tocobo Vita Tone Up Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++ ($23) can be hard to come by on Amazon (it is listed on the site, but it is often sold out), the Tocobo site is currently offering 20-percent off all SPFs.
“The texture is fantastic—light and smooth, it dissolves seamlessly into my skin without leaving any greasy residue. I use it every day, whether I’m heading out for a workout or applying makeup for work. It stays put even after sweating during a workout and doesn’t run into my eyes. And when I apply makeup over it, it creates a perfect base without causing any pilling or caking,” shares one review of the hydrating cream.
Besides the Sun Cream, the brand’s sun-essential portfolio includes the super-soft Cotton Soft Sun Stick SPF50 PA++++ ($18), the dense gel VITA TONE UP SUN CREAM SPF50+ PA++++ ($26), the balm-like Cica Cooling Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++ ($22), and the soothing Cica Calming Sun Serum SPF50+ PA++++ ($24).
