It’s no secret that today’s sunscreen brands have reached new heights of sophistication—and fun! Modern formulas now offer comfortable wear, quick absorption (yes, even mineral ones!), and a super lightweight feel, leaving behind the heavy, greasy formulations of the past. Leading the pack is Naked Sundays, an Australian skin care line that not only delivers all these benefits but also boasts aesthetically pleasing packaging, cutting-edge formulations, and the seal of approval from a host of celebrities. The brand made its debut in the States in early 2024, launching in Target and Urban Outfitters. Now, it’s adding an exciting new beauty retailer to its roster: Ulta Beauty.
Naked Sundays will land on Ulta Beauty’s website on July 14 and in 800 physical Ulta Beauty stores starting in March 2025. This expansion has always been in the cards, as implied in an interview with Business of Fashion. Founder Samantha Brett formulated the brand’s products with the United States’ sunscreen requirements in mind, avoiding Australian sunscreen filters that haven’t yet been approved in the States.
“I always said I wanted to be an international brand and not exclude any markets,” Brett told BoF. “I had this idea to make sunscreen accessible and fun and easy to use for everyone, especially younger people that hated sunscreen,” Naked Sundays founder Samantha Brett told Business of Fashion. Naked Sundays offers unconventional sun protection products such as lip oils, tinted serums and products with iridescent or light-reflecting qualities.”
Brett describes the brand’s products as “super fun, cool, sexy and good for your skin,” and both A-listers and regular people alike seem to agree. Case in point: This past March, Khloé Kardashian took to her Instagram story to rave about the brand’s CabanaGlow SPF50 Mineral Glow Serum Drops. The Good American founder explained that she’s “an avid SPF wearer and has been dying to get [her] hands on this product.” And once she tried them, she was even more infatuated, “because it contains SPF 50—the higher the better.” She also praised its lightweight texture and radiant glow.

Kardashian is far from the only celebrity to use the brand. Kaley Cuoco is also a fan—she wore it as the finishing touch to her beauty look at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. Her makeup artist, Courtney Hart, told Us Weekly, “Once Kaley was fully dressed, I carefully applied the Naked Sundays SPF50 Golden Glow Body Moisturizer to her [décolletage], chest and arms which added a touch of shimmer to the final look.”
