In the encyclopedia of beauty, we’re dedicating at least a full book to the wonder of Brooke Shields’ brows. And, while the model may have been “born with it,” we now have some additional insight on a few more of her perfect-brow secrets.

“I actually only use GrandeLashMD, the growth serum ($68)…I’m starting to see some positive results,” Shields shared in an interview with Today. “I just have to fill them in now, because the gray is starting to come and they’re thinning.”

As for the fill-in move, the “Pretty Baby” divulges that her product of choice is the rather unconventional graphite pencil.

“Because I can make it really sharp, and if it’s the right softness, it will come up on my skin and it looks like the flick of a brush,” she shared of the drawing pencil, pinpointing the Prismacolor Ebony Pencil ($8) on a previous Instagram video. “The times that I’ve tried to dye them or do anything else to bring them back, I end up looking rather freakish. I find a lot of pencils way too soft…and it’s not lead, so you’re not putting lead on your face.”

As she shared with us last year, regardless of the products, Brooke Shields looks at her routine as being steeped in self-care—not self-indulgence.

“I work with True Botanicals, and they’ve helped me understand what a privilege it is to be able to take care of my skin. Their Pure Radiance Oil ($110) is my hero; I put it on all day long, I pat it over makeup to give me a glow. I like doing the little things and not feeling bad about enjoying my routine.”
