At six years old, Allison Kaye started doing makeup on her dolls. This past Superbowl LVII, she was the go-to makeup artist for the Kansas City Chiefs’ wives. And, on any given Sunday, you can catch the “game-day glam” expert’s looks across the NFL and MLB. Here’s what Kaye is seeing, getting requests for, and always packs in her kit during the season.
My number-one request right now:
“My clients are currently asking for what I would consider a ‘soft-glam’ look. This type of look includes neutral eyeshadows, using an eyeshadow to create a winged eyeliner, faux lashes just on the outer corners, a flawless face base, bronzer, a pink blush, and a nude lip.”
My latest product discovery:
“I am obsessed with the Hourglass gel eyeliner ($28) in the shade Solstice. It is a shimmery-bronze eyeliner and every client I use it on always asks me for the link to buy it!”
My next big makeup trend prediction:
“Eyeliner in the waterline (tight lining) is starting to come back. I am noticing a few makeup trends from the ’90s and early 2000s certainly making a comeback. I am here for this since those are the years I started falling in love with all-things glam!”
The products I always have in my kit:
“My go-to blush is the Charlotte Tilbury Liquid Blush Wand ($42) in the shade Pinkgasm. It looks good on everyone and has a beautiful, highlighted finish to it! I also always have all shades of the Saie Sun Melt Cream Bronzer ($32) because it blends like a dream. Lastly, the YSL Mascara ($29) is my new obsession and I’ve been loving using it on all my clients because it creates serious volume!”
