I am one of those people who when someone pays me a compliment on anything I’m wearing, I immediately blurt out where I got it from. Turns out, Taylor Swift and I are of the same elk. On a fan video posted to X (formerly Twitter), the Fortnight singer was spotted posing for photos and talking with drag queen Xunami Muse during the show. Muse is seen miming a spritzing motion, to which Swift smiles and says: “Oh, thank you! It’s Tom Ford.”
While that may be the extent of the exact details we know about Swift’s VMAs scent (for now—you know the internet sleuths are on it), this isn’t the first time a Tom Ford fragrance and the Grammy winner have been linked. In her 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana, a bottle of the designer’s beloved Santal Blush made an appearance backstage during her Reputation tour. And if we go way back to an interview from 2010, David Letterman claimed that the Folklore singer-songwriter smelled like “expensive wood.”
It’s unlikely Swift or Muse will spill more on their (very cute) interaction, but for our theories on which Tom Ford scent Swift may have revealed, keep reading.
