Sephora is the mecca of beauty for makeup lovers everywhere, and its vast range of beauty classes (free for Beauty Insiders) makes it easy to become a master when it comes to makeup trends and skin care basics. But the latest class is filled with lessons focusing on concerns so much more important than the latest must-have lip shade or how to wing your liner on the first try. Launching nationwide this week, Classes for Confidence: Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer aims to introduce products and techniques that address the visible effects of cancer treatments to men and women in the midst of major life transitions.

From teaching students how to draw on eyebrows as they eagerly await for theirs to grow back to explaining which hues flatter specific skin tones and why, the program places the basics of beauty at the core of the classroom in hopes that confidence and self-assurance will soon replace any insecurity their cancer treatments may have instilled in them. As of now, more than 40 stores across the country have signed up to be a part of the worthwhile movement and more locations will be added throughout the year. Just another reason to love Sephora.
