DJ Khaled’s favorite beauty and wellness products are surprisingly relatable. In an interview with The Strategist, published Friday, April 12, the 48-year-old record producer shared his go-to items, many of which are essentials that we, too, frequently indulge in.
At the top of his list? The Diptyque Baies Candle ($72). “Every time I’d walk into meetings with important people like the chairman or CEO of a company, I would always smell this particular scent,” he told the outlet. “It’s fresh. I fell in love with it. Then, I found out it was Diptyque’s Baies. Ever since, I have to have these candles stocked in my studio and house. They make me feel at peace.”
Not only is the Diptyque candle’s glass vessel aesthetically pleasing, but NewBeauty can confirm that the smell is equally iconic. Its standouts notes are rose and berries. It’s light, fruity, and not overwhelming in the least. It’ll complement your home year-round, though we particularly love lighting it in the springtime.
Worth noting: Khaled is in good company. Nicole Richie, Victoria Beckham and Meghan Markle are also loyal devotees of the luxury candle brand.
Next up is Khaled’s favorite skin-care product: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter ($10). “I love cocoa butter. I use it all the time,” he told The Strategist. “That’s not a secret. I’ve been using it on my skin for as long as I can remember. God has blessed me with a glow, but this helps me get through the day without tampering it. It protects my glow.”
If you’re new to the formula, it’s certainly not your average body butter. It’s a solid, balmy lotion that’s ideal for rough, dry skin in need of moisture and skin-softening benefits. One of the main ingredients is nourishing cocoa butter, but its formula also boasts smoothing sunflower seed oil and the and the antioxidant vitamin E to protect your hands from damaging free radicals.
DJ Khaled is no stranger to the beauty space. In May of 2021, he teamed up with the Endexx Corporation to release a CBD-enhanced men’s grooming products called Blesswell. Since it’s launch, the brand has expanded into Target and CVS locations nationwide.
“I love self-care,” he told Men’s Health at the time of launch. “If you follow Khaled, you know I’m going to motivate you and inspire you to take care of yourself.”
“We have to embrace our blessings, but we also have to take care of our blessings,” he continued. “Using these products is almost like watering your plants, cutting your grass, getting a haircut—just taking care of yourself.”
Blesswell’s three standout products are its Charcoal Face Mask, Facial Cleansing Scrub, and Daily Facial Moisturizer. The fan-favorite seems to be the face mask, which boasts oil-absorbing kaolin clay, brightening vitamin C, and nourishing shea butter and hemp seed oil.
Khaled’s lifestyle appears to be incredibly relaxing, from his affinity for luxury candles to his skin-care lineup, and apparent passion for the outdoors. “I love to island hop. I love flowers, I love nature, and the sun,” he told Men’s Health. “I represent light, love, and progress. Everything I try to surround myself with is that vibe.”
