Jessica Biel took to TikTok to share her pre-MET Gala ritual and this DIY trick is one we might have to add to our routine before a big night. The actress posted a video of herself in a bathrobe throwing bags of Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt into a bathtub, explaining that she prefers relaxation over partying the night before the big event.
“I know some people like to party before Met Ball and party all weekend and I have total respect for that,” Biel said. “This is what I do to get ready for Met Ball.” As she tossed the epsom salt into the tub, she counted aloud, “Four, eight, 12, 16, 20 pounds of epsom salt in a bath. Here we go.”
“With water as hot as you can take it, 30-minute soak the night before, tons of water then, off to bed early,” Biel went on to say. Epsom salt, made from magnesium sulfate, is known for its potential health benefits. A 30-minute soak in a hot bath with Epsom salt can help relieve sore muscles, reduce stress and promote relaxation. Magnesium is also believed to support sleep quality, making it a perfect way to prep for a restful night’s sleep before a big event.
Biel’s ritual prepped her for the long road ahead. Her staying in and soaking trick not only helps with muscle recovery but also aids in detoxification, ensuring she woke up ready and refreshed for the biggest red carpet of the year. It serves as a great reminder that sometimes the best way to prep is to take a moment to unwind.
