Known for her timeless beauty, supermodel Christie Brinkley knows a thing or two about keeping things looking youthful. And per the 67 year-old’s latest career move, a pocket-sized $89 sculpting wand might have something to do with it.
Announced today, Brinkley is now the brand ambassador and equity partner of SBLA, a skin-care brand known for its at-home sculpting devices, most notably the Neck, Chin & Jawline Sculpting Wand.
Previously known as Spencer Barnes LA, named after Meghan Markle’s former makeup artist who remains a minority stakeholder, the brand has recently rebranded to SBLA with CEO and cofounder Randi Shinder at the helm. In her new role, Brinkley will collaborate on new innovations and formulas for the brand alongside Shinder.
“The beauty industry is filled with promises of eternal youth and a pool of products claim to grant those wishes. But no one had anything for the neck, chin and jawline that actually worked. The instant my close circle of friends and I tried the Original Neck Wand, we saw results — I would think it was unbelievable if I didn’t experience it myself,” said Brinkley in a release.
“I have had a lot of sun exposure growing up on the beach in Malibu and then modeling on beaches all over the world; that sun exposure has left me with discoloration and I noticed some creasing starting on my décolletage,” Brinkley tells NewBeauty. “After using the Original Neck Wand, I notice within the first few months that it as addressing both the discoloration and fine lines were much less noticeable!”
The Wand continues to be a sell-out for the brand and features a stainless steel rollerball tip to dispense a potent “airless dose” of anti-aging ingredients into the delicate skin. However, Brinkley tells Yahoo there’s more to her anti-aging routine than the next-gen tool. “Full disclosure, I go to my dermatologist to get, you know, these things,” she says, pointing to her neck. “That’s my spot for Botox. And as you can see, I need to do that, but it’s going to have to wait but in the meantime.…I’ve been using these, and I am so satisfied with the results.”
“I am looking forward to pin-pointing beauty problems that women identify with and have yet to find a solution to,” Brinkley tells NewBeauty of her new endeavor. “I am hoping that we can come up with those solutions that ultimately will help women feel more confident and happy in their everyday lives.”
