In 1998 at age 23, Niki Taylor inked a deal as the new face of CoverGirl, becoming the youngest ambassador in the brand’s history, which propelled her modeling career to new heights. Though she was already a successful model—walking at Paris Fashion Week and gracing the cover of Vogue at 16 years old—some consider this the turning point when Taylor’s status reached that of “supermodel.” And now, at age 46, Taylor’s career is coming full circle as she rejoins the CoverGirl family as the face of the brand’s Simply Ageless collection.
According to the brand, Taylor shared that one of the coolest parts of her new partnership has been that she got to shoot the commercial (see below) herself with her iPhone in her own home. “I even did my own makeup, so the whole experience has been very easy, breezy!” said Taylor, pun intended. “I’ve been a fan of CoverGirl since I was a teenager and I am so proud and honored to rejoin this iconic American brand, years later, as the face of their good-for-skin makeup line, Simply Ageless.”
In the commercial, Taylor is wearing the line’s Anti-Aging Foundation, which features hyaluronic acid to help the formula avoid settling into fine lines on dry and/or mature skin.
