Cardi B knows how to turn heads, and her latest look at the Mugler Spring-Summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week was no exception. The 32-year-old rapper rocked what might be the most talked-about fringe of the year—an avant-garde style that turned heads. Her hair was sleekly pulled into a low bun with a sharp center part, while bold, angled curtain bangs dramatically covered her eyes, leaving only a small, upside-down V-shaped sliver of skin exposed—just enough for her to take in the show (at least, we hope).
The “WAP” hitmaker’s paired her dramatic hairstyle with an equally statement-making Mugler ensemble: a sculptural black mini dress, glossy black pointed-toe pumps, and a diamond-encrusted earring stack. Her makeup, brought to life by celebrity makeup artist Erika La’ Pearl, tied the entire look together with none other than black lip liner. La’ Pearl, as revealed on Instagram, used Pat McGrath’s PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in “Deep Void,” a striking blackened eggplant hue, as the icing on the cake of her client’s daring look.
To our surprise, it turns out that Cardi B wasn’t the only one sporting this otherworldly hairstyle at the show. As seen on the runway, her angled bangs were a variation of those worn by the models. And believe it or not, the catwalk version took the avant-garde factor up a notch, with bangs that landed just at or below the upper lip line. While we initially feared for Cardi’s vision, it turns out we had even more reason to worry for the runway models—but everything seemed to go off without a hitch. See both versions of the look for yourself, ahead.
